I was living on a friend’s farm after losing mine due to DV. Fires all around me and l remember my father telling me along time ago, if the birds go you go, so l packed up and fled. I was invited back to the Snowy mountains were l come from. And offered work in the Snowy Hydro. Smoke stared to come over the mountains while we were working in Lobs Hole. So the black summer fires took my job and sadly I went into depression. Melt down! I had relocated back home and now sharing a 2 bedroom flat with 4 women. Luckily my name went down for housing when l had the melt down and covid had arrived. I travelled to Northern NSW to be closer to family. Then the floods came x2 No wonder one feels exhausted. As l worked in community aged care, driving in extreme weather conditions to help the elders. Good to be near the Grandchildren, but sometimes it floods so l can’t get through. And the humidity up here is extreme 😫
