Fires destroyed my Grandparent’s home in 2015 and ever since it’s been pretty clear to my family that you can never be too careful.

Climate change is in the back of everyone’s minds, all the time. It’s there unsaid in comments about how unseasonably warm it is, and how there still hasn’t been any proper rain. We laugh awkwardly, and quickly change the subject, but we’re all thinking about climate change.
Every year when Summer rolls around I get anxious, start checking the CFS website compulsively. Fires destroyed my Grandparent’s home in 2015 and ever since it’s been pretty clear to my family that you can never be too careful. I hate the heat, I hate hot days and hot water and hot showers because anything that feels too hot genuinely reminds me that the world is getting warmer all the time.
I’d love to live in a world where we don’t have any reason to be anxious about the climate.
