Natural disasters happened far less when I was a kid. People are really suffering nation wide by the climate crisis.
Sydney, NSW
I’ve witnessed smoke from the south coast bushfires taking over the city in one year and floods and constant heavy rain fall 6-12 months later during La Niña in Sydney. All the while the temperatures continue to rise steadily each year. We are currently experiencing multiple 25 degree days in the middle of winter which really does scare me. There is often a natural disaster of some kind all over the country and I have really noticed this becoming more regular in the past 10 years. Natural disasters happened far less when I was a kid. People are really suffering nation wide by the climate crisis and there is not enough awareness going out from authorities to the masses. It is always swept under the rug and not addressed clearly or often enough. We need change NOW to save our planet and to mainstream educate more people about daily things they can do to help. We need to lessen the amount of people with the mentality that it’s already ruined. We can still make a change! I have hope. Thank you to Australian Climate Case for speaking up!!! I believe in you 🙂

The water is rising. The king tides are the scariest thing. I experienced the king tides as they came under my house. The water damaged all my beautiful plants. I used to have lots of beautiful plants and I ended up in tears when I saw that they had been destroyed by the floods.
