Here in the northeast USA we have experienced very little effect. The cooling from Arctic meltwater seems to be the reason. I’ve been thinking for a couple of decades how the region most responsible for global warming is actually being cooled by it. The recent increase in wildfires on the west coast got me thinking a few years ago that if it ever got as dry here we would have just as many wildfires here. (When the Arctic runs out of ice that could happen). Just today I was reading of a drastic increase in wildfires in Michigan, in the middle of the continent.

Climate change has dramatically impacted our region with over 500 homes lost in Eurobodalla in 2019 black summer bushfires. The impact on wildlife and community was catastrophic. What followed was 4 years of floods where a commercial market gardens and agricultural land were destroyed. River bank stability was negatively impacted. Its time for real action.
