I now live with a pervasive anxiety of how the climate and biodiversity emergency is affecting the planet and life. We are undergoing the lived experience of climate instability in the form of increased extreme weather events and witnessing the battle that living things are undergoing to adapt to a pace of change that they were not evolved for. It is a battle that we are apparently losing in the face of governments and societies being too slow to respond to this threat. Indeed, there are many forces in society who are actively campaigning against urgent action. We need to wake up.
Hundreds of people from across the country are sharing their stories to send a clear message to the Australian government - it's time for real action on climate change.

The fires were absolutely terrifying and they raged around us for months. Everything was tinder dry from the drought, and when the fires came on a friday night the sky was so red and the wind was hot and wild. It really felt like the end of the world.
