As a young person who has little following over social media and lives in a small community it is hard to feel like we are actually making a difference with our small changes like seasonal plant based eating, and picking up rubbish in waterways, using public transport or walking and cycling everywhere yet the government funds projects to start seismic blasting in a marine protected area off the Otways. As a local it is heartbreaking, after seeing the news recently about another mass beaching of over 50 pilot whales. We have all the solutions in front of us, we need action and we need it now

In early March 2023 there were two cyclones hitting Vanuatu - Cyclone Judy and Cyclone Kevin. They caused a lot of damage in our house and garden. Especially for my family, our house has been blown away by the cyclones and we didn’t have a place to sleep and to cook our food.
